Ready-to-use cleaning solution
A perfect match: HERMES Antimuff
Our façade cleaner HF1 plus is a cleaning agent based on active chlorine. So as you would expect, the typical “swimming pool smell” occurs during application. If you want to avoid this, use HERMES Antimuff and replace the smell of chlorine with lavender or mint. Order HERMES Antimuff now!
From our own research and development department
“For professional façade cleaning, it is essential that the cleaning agents used are perfectly suited to one another and, together with the cleaning technology, form an ideal system. To ensure this, we at HERMES manufacture our own cleaning agents. Our research and development department produces efficient cleaning agents for our HERMES system. In doing so, we focus on continuous product improvement in order to make them even more effective, economical and versatile. So our quality partners can always be sure they are using the best possible cleaning agent for their façade cleaning company.”

Even with such an effective cleaning agent as our façade cleaner HF1 plus, renewed soiling cannot, of course, be ruled out. Due to our pore-deep cleaning performance in connection with the application of HERMES® Fassadenschutz HFS, the house façade usually remains clean for approx. three to five years. The length of time the results will hold is influenced by a number of factors, which we show you here.
For the environment:
Like any professional cleaning agent, the use of HF1 plus should be left to the specialists. Such specialist companies should always collect the façade waste water when carrying out façade cleaning work. This is the only way to ensure environmentally friendly cleaning. HF1 plus was developed for the large-scale treatment of façades and accordingly the ingredients are in such low concentrations that, even in the worst case, no danger to the environment is to be expected. The agent quickly decomposes into water, oxygen and common salt in the soil. Even if small quantities of HF1 plus reach plants or objects (e.g. by spray mist), there is no threat of long-term damage. The employees of the cleaning company ensure that green areas, bushes and vegetable gardens are watered before cleaning and again after and covered with tarpaulins.
If handled improperly, direct contact with HF1 plus may cause skin irritation. However, the affected person would have had to be exposed to the product in large quantities for a prolonged period of time (e.g. in a case where heavily saturated trousers clung tightly to skin for more than two hours). Spray mist in the eye or on the skin is unpleasant, but should not cause concern in small amounts. If a direct concentrated stream gets into the eye, however, flushing measures are urgently required. Having worked with HF1 plus for many years, we have not become aware of any case of the skin and/or eye health of our users or residents being damaged. Since users come into daily contact with cleaning agents, they should all use personal protective equipment (suitable work clothing, protective goggles, protective gloves and mouth protection if necessary). This is not necessary for residents or passers-by. The "chlorine odour" that sometimes occurs during cleaning is not harmful in this respect, as there is naturally very good ventilation outdoors. Not least because of this, windows must stay closed during cleaning so that the smell does not penetrate into the interior. If you smell the odour in the house, it will only be in a very low concentration (comparable to a swimming pool, since the odour threshold is very low). The user usually uses a fragrance to cover the unpleasant odour. The "chlorine smell" is related to the dirt on the façade. The higher the degree of soiling, the more intensive the perceived odour.
In rare cases, it may be that despite a successfully applied test surface, the soiling in other places is much more stubborn and therefore cannot be removed 100 percent. Also make sure to mask sensitive metal elements before application, as slight damage may occur despite corrosion inhibitors. Normally, however, this slight damage can also be removed by careful polishing.
After façade cleaning with HF1 plus, our cleaning agent has no negative influence on a possible new coating.
